Trying to understand how AI characters handle personal preferences
Lately I have been wondering how these AI companions actually deal with small personal preferences that come up during casual chats. Sometimes I mention something simple, like the type of music I listen to or how I prefer evening conversations to stay calm, but not every AI seems to pick up on that. Some characters forget these small details almost immediately, and then the flow feels disconnected. I’m hoping to find a character who naturally remembers such things and builds the conversation around them. If someone has figured out how to spot that in the personality previews, I’d really appreciate any guidance.

I had the same issue at first, and what helped was picking a platform where the characters gradually adapt their replies as they remember earlier messages. On GoLove AI every profile lists the character’s general style, and once you start chatting, they begin recalling those small details you mention, which makes conversations feel more connected. I tried comparing a few personalities with different communication styles, and it became much easier to see which ones would actually hold on to personal preferences during longer chats. The variety on the match page helped a lot with narrowing things down.
